Scarf

The scarf is 100% twill silk and its pattern is inspired by the floor tiles laid along the walkways of the Main Building of HKU. It is 20 by 20 inches square (about 51.4 by 51.4 cm).

Yes, you may donate as often as you wish.
One signature scarf will be sent to you for each donation you have made.

Donation

Yes. An acknowledgement email will be sent to you once you have completed the online donation procedure.

The HKUiGift campaign supports 10 Faculties, the President and Vice Chancellor’s Development Fund, and The First-in-the-Family Education Fund (FIFE Fund). If you have another specific purpose please contact us (igift@hku.hk).

Donations to The University of Hong Kong, under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance, are exempt from tax in the HKSAR. A receipt will be issued for you for tax purposes.
Canada: Donations from Canadian donors are eligible for tax deductions in Canada. Please use cheques (or credit cards for online giving) issued by Canadian banks, and provide your full name and address in Canada.
UK and US: Please refer to the link for details on tax relief/deductions.

Deliveries to destinations outside Hong Kong may be subject to duties and taxes according to the individual country. Please note that The University of Hong Kong does not charge any customs duties, and iGifters/recipients are liable for all duties and taxes levied by the country the scarf is sent to. HKU is unable to refund shipping costs or donations for items that are refused delivery by the recipient due to customs charged levied on the scarf.

We accept Visa / Master / Union Pay credit cards through our secure online payment system. This includes international credit cards.

Yes, you may collect the scarf from the HKU Main Campus. Details below:

Monday–Friday 9:30–13:00, 14:00–18:00

Closed on Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays and University holidays

Yes, you may authorise a person to collect the scarf on your behalf. They are required to present the confirmation email with the QR code in either electronic or printout format to collect your scarf.

If the delivery address is in Hong Kong, your scarf will be delivered by Hongkong Post within 72 hours upon confirmation of your donation.
